reply to Violent Seduction & any other creator who wants to clear up their lack of skill, or no that’s wrong… their laziness
people would just delete my posts in their blogs, so I made a separate post here. I’ll just block you too and anyone else, so your words will be wasted. I’m not here to connect with creators in SL, this is not a blog where anything is open for discussion. It’s not the typical SL blog at all.
I’ve been working with 3dsmax since it was DOS based. Maya since before public release ever happened, Zbrush the same, and other tools. You don’t need to rig sizes for me, but I am telling you and everyone else who is making mesh items that you better rig more sizes, than just 2 or 3 for everyone. It’s easy. I do hundreds a day for my job which is not second life. I can rig second life too obviously, it’s quite easier. Like I said because the linden’s have blown it, doesn’t mean you have to. who the fuck came up with small, curvy? Limited fucking rushed out releases and it’s pathetic.
I can see now that all I will get back from this, is fucking insecure people googling their avatar and store names to see if anyone talks about them, and reblogging and trying to justify their inability to make something work, and complete things properly so everyone might benefit and you can earn your money or whatever it is you wish to gain from creating in SL. So, Instead of rushing to get something out, take the time to rig sizes for everyone. I can post again with 30 people wearing your mesh outfit and it not fitting. I could recreate the outfit and make 20 options for people, not just normal and curvy or large… there’s a few tags people use.
I love the excuses all these “creators” give as to why they “technically” can’t do something in SL, because it’s bullshit. Rigging multiple sizes and everything that goes into it is a simple task, especially in Second Life. Sure it will take practice for newer people, but for ones who have been doing it for a lot of years, it’s not difficult. The amount of work I have to do at my job would have you tired in an hour, the way you are trying to describe it. Like I states, I don’t want a custom fit personally, I’m asking just to try for multiple sizes that would fit more than 2 avatars or 3, and I’m not even directly speaking to you but just in general. It would be excellent to see a a good amount of sizes so everyone who wants something can enjoy the fucking time and effort (if any) that was put into creating it in the first place. I know a few creators who are doing several sizes, before rushing to release something - those are going to be the successful ones.
Also, I never said it was bad, design wise…and this if this is really your first item, good job on that, It just said it could use more sizes. Similar to how hair and skin creators and the best clothing designers make multiple style, makeups/skins tones/eyebrow options, pubic options etc, clothing designers make every single fucking thing on every layer. I think Edelweiss goes all out with the attachments too. These are pro people like myself, who work in the industry to some degree, or I know of them or saw them at many of the gaming conventions this year, and they will eat you alive if you can’t keep up.
